This week marked a historical event in Nigeria’s quest towards becoming a mining destination. AG Vision Mining is proud to deliver the mandate given by the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development (MMSD) by presenting the final report on the National Integrated Mineral Exploration Project (NIMEP).
This event is a first in Nigeria, it is a bold step in uncovering the Nation’s untapped mineral potential. In fact, it is the largest mineral exploration project in Nigeria’s modern mining history with the aim of promoting Africa’s biggest economy as the next mining frontier.
AG Vision Mining executed and completed the exploration works on Gold and platinum Group Elements covering an area of more than 300,000Km2. The exploration approach was modern and holistic with the start of desktop studies and the interpretation of airborne geophysical data, up to geological mapping, ground geophysics, geochemical sampling, pitting and trenching, and lastly drilling, analysis, and the integration of data and reporting. The final report followed international reporting standards, i.e JORC.
Approximately 10,000 meters of Diamond and RC drilling were executed in 5 different locations with exciting results to be declared by the Federal Government. Stay tuned for more
