Acting Surveyor-General of the Federation (SGOF), Surv. Taiwo Adeniran has urged members of staff of the Office of the Surveyor General of the Federation (OSGOF) to ensure that all activities of surveying and mapping in the country were tailored towards facilitating the success of the Next-Level Agenda of the federal government.
The Surveyor-Generel who gave the charge during a bi-weekly meeting of management staff and heads of units of OSGOF, which he instituted on taking over to oversee the affairs of the office in October 2019, expressed the need for OSGOF to ensure the provision of the Geo-spatial information needs that would help the government formulate and implement good policies that would make the laudable projects of the Next-Level Agenda impact on the people.
Surv. Adeniran, in a statement signed and issued by his media aide, Abu Michael, also charged the management staff to make available the areas of focus of the Next-Level Agenda which he distributed at the meeting to officials of their respective departments and units to abreast them and align their activities with.
He reiterated the significance of the inputs of surveying and mapping in every sector of the economy while urging the staff to rededicate themselves to the business of the government by working assiduously towards fulfilling the mandates of OSGOF.
He exhorted staff of the office to use the little space of their office to help create a Nigeria that all would be proud of by refocusing on expectations based on the agenda being set by OSGOF.
While also urging the management staff to ensure good record keeping of activities of their department, the acting SGOF requested for the schedules of duty for all staff of the office for proper supervision to discourage redundancy.
