Barkerville Gold Mines has received bonanza grades from recent drilling at its flagship Cariboo gold project in central Ontario, Canada. The results have also expanded mineralization by 175 metres at Island Mountain.

The company has had five drills working at the Island Mountain Shaft zone and Mosquito Creek deposit to test down dip extensions.

New results include 19.34 g/t gold over 17.9 meters in IM-19-013, extending a mineralized vein corridor on Shaft zone 70 meters down dip. The current mineralization on Mosquito Creek is modelled to a depth of 200 meters and recent high grade intercepts include 10.65 g/t gold over 4.2 meters in IM-19-004 at a depth of 375 meters from surface.

In June 2018, Barkerville released a 43-101 technical report that covered the maiden resource estimate for Cow Mountain and Island Mountain – including Cow, Valley, Shaft and Mosquito deposits – as well as an updated resource for Barkerville Mountain – Bonanza Ledge and BC Vein deposits. The numbers include the 3.7-km strike length from Cow Mountain to Island Mountain with a width of approximately 700 metres to a vertical depth of 600 metres below surface.

The total measured and indicated resource is 8.1 million tonnes grading 6.1 g/t gold for 1.6 million oz. The inferred resource is 12.7 million tonnes at 5.2 g/t for 2.2 million contained oz. of gold.
